Welcome to Pizza University Summer Fun Pizza Contest 2022!

The contest will start on June 21, 2022, the first day of summer, and end at midnight on Wednesday, Sept. 21st, 2022.

To Enter:

  1. Make a summer-themed pizza. (Do not use pizzas made by someone else, or purchased.)
  2. Take a photo or video of your pizza. (Make it creative!)
  3. Post your photo or video on your social account: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, or Twitter
  4. Tag us, #PizzaUniversity, and use the contest hashtag #PizzaUSummerFun (both hashtags must be present to enter the contest.)
  5.  Share your post with your network and enjoy your pizza!

Prizes: Winners will be announced on Oct. 5th, 2022

1st place: 

Choose between any classes currently offered by Pizza University, including our 3-day intensive pizza course, a 3-hour Chef Sed class, a Pizza War, Corporate Competition (see below for more information.) You will also win a Pizza University jacket and apron.

Chef Sed Classes

Our in-house Chef Sedrick Crawley regularly teaches 3-hour courses each with a variety of topics from Dough Chemistry 101 to Wood-Fired Appetizers. Professionals and amateurs alike will learn new skills and techniques in these hands-on classes at our Pizza University. In each class a new topic is explored. Our small class sizes, well-equipped kitchen, and experienced chef/educator guarantee lots of 1:1 time and solidification of new skills. Learn more about the classes and our chef below.

Rules of the Contest:

All classes are depending on space and availability.

All winners must respond to the direct message and/or comments by Pizza University staff by Dec. 31st, 2022 to receive your prize.

All entries must conform to the rules of the channel including the use of appropriate content. Any entries that violate the rules of the social channel will be disqualified including depictions of violence, pornography, or drug use.

All entries must be active and visible for up to two weeks following the announcement of the winner, up to Monday, Oct. 3, 2022.

Prizes must be redeemed within the year of announcement or by September 19th, 2023.

In order to announce the winners, there must be at least 100 valid and unique entries in the contest.

All entries must be of a summer-themed pizza but do not need to be edible.

Pizza Wars

Participate in one of our most popular classes, Pizza Wars, Where 2 teams battle each other for the golden Pizza Paddle. Enjoy your favorite libation while you create – we know pizza is best served with red, or white, or bubbly.. you choose!

Part 1

Chef Leads the team through hands-on training in technique, ingredients, tools and perfecting of your skills.

Part 2

Create! Team up with your buddies and let’s get creative– but remember .. This is WAR! Only one team will reign supreme and earn the coveted pizza paddle!

Part 3

Judge’s Taste and critique. Winning team has photo taken. Photo will be framed and placed on our Wall of Fame. Class End.

Cooperate Competitive

1 Learn

Team Members Will watch a chef driven demonstration on how to prepare an starter, entrée and dessert. Team members will be given the recipe to use as a guide, but the chef wants to know who was really paying attention.

2 Execute

The team members split into small workgroups to recreate each part of the meal. Ex. Team 1 breaks into 3 groups and each group works on one part of the meal. If you have completed your meal work, you are allowed to help the other team members. The question is who will cook the meat! Who is good at baking? These must be decided within the group.

3 Judging

One the time has expired, you, will create one plate for the judge, this is where you can use your creativity. The judge scores on taste, teamwork and final presentation of the meal. The judge picks a winner, we all celebrate with a glass of champagne.

4 Prize

The winner team receive an official pizza university certificate announcing them as the winner of corporate competitive.
